Selection of ring joint gaskets
When selecting ring joint gasket material, you should pick a gasket that is softer than the mating flanges, as high seating stress causes `plastic-flow` of the ring type joint in the flange face creating the seal.
At Leader Gasket we have heavily invested to create a stock of the more commonly used sizes of ring (type) joint gaskets in both soft iron and 316 stainless steel.

Full manufacturing and material traceability is available if required in accordance with ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001. In accordance with API specifications our soft iron joints are protected from corrosion with electroplated zinc.
